It's Christmas
I'm excited
Are you?

Why not?
A promise fulfilled from God above
that we, sinful creatures
shall be pardon of all turmoils and torments
delivered from evil

and given Eternal Life

It's the bestestestest FREE GIFT
anyone can ever have

Have you ever wondered
why we celebrate Christmas every year?
Have you ever thought like
"Hey, there must be more to Christmas than pressies & Santa!"

Indeed!
Sadly but truly
Many human beans
have lost sight of the true meaning of Christmas!

Christmas means soSoSO much more
not just pressies beneath the tree or in stockings

JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON!

Allow me some time to enlighten you on this point

A long long time ago
before the birth of Jesus
The Lord told a man
a man whose name was Isaiah
that a future King was coming
conceived of a virgin's womb
and that He, shall be called
"The Mighty GOD"

[ Isaiah 9 : 6, 7 ]
v6: For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called,
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
v7: Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom
establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almight will accomplish this.

Many years after that...

The angel, Gabriel was sent from heaven
to a virgin who lived in Nazareth, Galilee
Her name was MARY

"Greetings, you who are highly favoured!
The Lord is with you."

Mary was greatly troubled at his words.
"What does this mean?"

"Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with God.
You will be pregnant, and give birth to a son.
He shall be named JESUS
He will be great
He will be called the Son of the Most High
The Lord God, will give him a throne
The throne of King David, his ancestor
He will rule over the house of Jacob forever
His kingdom will never end."

"But how will this happen? I'm a virgin!"

"The Holy Spirit will come upon you.
The power of the most high will cover you.
The baby will be holy.
He will be called the Son of GOD."

"May it be to me as you have said."

Then the angel left.

At that time, Augustus Caeser issued an order
that every men must list their name in a register
that shall be followed by all countries under Roman rule

So, Joseph, along with Mary
travelled from Nazareth to Bethlehem
to register with Mary
who was pledged to be his wife

Mary was pregnant then.

And it was in Bethlehem
that the time came for the birth of the baby

There wasn't any room left in the inn

So, Mary clothed Baby JESUS
and
laid Him in a manger
where animals fed

Under the guidance of a star

three wise men
bringing gifts of gold, of incense and of myrrh
came to the house
when they saw the child
they bowed down and worshipped Him

And all of this happened, to fulfill the prophecy
the prophecy of Isaiah, many many years earlier!

Christmas is indeed
A birthday celebration for JESUS
A celebration to thank GOD

for the greatest gift ever offered

Salvation in Jesus Christ!

I might have bored you with a long story
I might not be making any sense
but
I'm glad that i shared this with you

Just before you go to bed tonight
gaze up at the stars above
You may or may not see a single star
because i don't see any
Just imagine the sky blanketed with twinkling stars

Whisper a little prayer to God

Thank you Lord for creating the stars
Thank you Lord for creating the moon
Thank you Lord for everything else
Most of all
Thank you Lord for sending baby Jesus
I leave my heart and my love for you, Dear Lord
Merry Christmas Dear Lord
Happy Birthday Jesus
I Love you!

Of Shrivels and Blooms

Some lost moisture & withered away;

but amidst it all, some bloomed

Memory #1

Death
It's true when they say it's inevitable
No one is spared his/her life
once in a while, some might be given a second chance
but in the end it still boils down to one thing

Death
something every living beans would need to encounter
be it early in life
be it later in life

It has been a week since my dear friend left me
He was a great listener
He was a brilliant comforter
He was my bearer of joy
His presence was always a consolation to me

Yes, it hurts me deep down inside
but i know, someday, i'll see him again

because i believe in the everlasting life in heaven
through dear Lord Jesus, my saviour
So that i can say with confidence
that what we call death, is not really death after all

Amen to that?
[oh bother, my stationaries are swimming in lacrimal fluid]

Memory #2

December

Tra La la la la, La la la la~!
Popular month, ain't it?
Favourite month of many too!
No?
At least it is, for me

Can't believe how fast one year has gone by
well, almost
So school life has really cultivated me into thinking that
December = Holiday month

Sigh... Not this time around though!

Haha, that's not going to stop me from celebrating!

Bring on a thousand men
I'll whack them, skin them alive, cook them, EAT them and...

heehee, paiseh paiseh...
so not lady-like already, GANAS!

Anyway, how's Christmas deco going?
Got your Christmas wreath up yet?
I've not a wreath this year
mum threw the old one away
But look at these wreaths!
They look so pretty!!!

right?

As for the Christmas tree,
I jolly took up an AXE that was lying nearby
and
choppy chop down the one in my garden

What d'ya think?
Another round of flickering miniature lights would be lovely

Now, if only i had a fireplace to hang the Christmas stockings
It's a pity it doesn't snow in Malaysia
I miss having white Christmases

[oh, i was kidding when i said i chopped my own tree]

Aye aye
Those are pine cones
We spotted them scattered around at BukitTinggi
Couldn't leave them out in the cold like that
so, we gathered them up
gave them a nice gold coating
and
TADAA!!!

Lovely F.O.C. decoration yea?
mm yesh!
Here's a greeting card
that never fails to fascinate me year after year
teehee...

And since there's no snow to make a Frosty
a candle Frosty would do fine

and place him beside the pretty little tree

Memory #3

Had a craving for Italian food out of the blue
Well, not exactly
Saw this human bean's personal statement reading:
** overdose of pasta **

which sort of triggered this tiny little craving
which eventually snowballed over the days

So, golly me!
I probably had P-A-S-T-A stamped right across my forehead
for lilTreesprit was brought to
ChOcoLat Cafe

Hmm...
no sound like Italian Restaurant ya Ya?
but they SERVE Italian food

I don't wanna say much...

Heehee, this one's about food again.
Shows how big the storage space for FOOD in my brain is

Anyway
this is the place where we gorged ourselves with yummies


LilTreeSpirit & family were there to have brunch
buFFet style
If i must say, there weren't a wide variety of food
Food was mediocre
only some tasted fantastic
These are the "SOME" yummies:

mmMmmm~!

There was this dish called the "bang-bang Chicken"
I personally didn't like the flavour
shredded meat + shredded cucumber + peanut butter
You like?
I don't LIKE!!

Hmm...
Be it a breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet
They are an epitome of greediness
It shows the barbaric and animal side of human beans
Agree?
This greedy uncle before us
took all the raw salmon slices he could get hold of
leaving only raw Cod fish slices on the sashimi tray

Uncle, you were lucky we weren't going for the raw salmon
just the cod fish
if not...

Oh!
We were taking our own sweet time devouring yummies
and look what we decided to do:
